EyePet Sees a Delay

Sony delays EyePet indefinitely for North America.

Sony's EyePet for PlayStation 3 will not be released this November, but has in fact been delayed to possibly April 2010.

According to IGN, a Sony representative stated that "the North American territory has decided to take additional time to focus on the EyePet product and can confirm it will not be available this holiday." According to the rep, "more details on an updated launch timeframe [are coming] very soon."

It is speculated that the game is being delayed to incorporate motion controls. However, Sony seems to still be unsure whether the market is ready for the product. The rep concluded that, "SCEA marketing will spend additional time to continue educating consumers and retail channels, setting the table for a successful product launch."
